PRO BONO WORK:

INTERNSHIPS:

We are privileged to have the participation of more than 150 private attorneys helping us to deliver legal services to low-income people through our Volunteer Attorney Program. The volunteer attorney chooses the types of cases for which he or she is available to provide representation in their own offices. We screen the potential clients for financial eligibility and type of case before making a referral. Alternatively, some volunteers come to our offices to give advice or help with intake.

In addition, we provide malpractice coverage as a supplement to the private attorney’s coverage. If you are retired and have no malpractice insurance, our insurance will cover the work you do for us. Filing fees are waived for cases that are handled through our volunteer program. We may be able to assist with expert fees and other major litigation costs.

Pro bono attorneys who provide 25 or more hours of service annually are exempt from court assignments.
